Well the new 1 PCB GTX 295 is supose not to be used has a sli card by software. I don't know if she is going to act like that but if yes, rendering would be faster.

Rendering in 3dsmax on a single GTX 275 is going to be stupid fast anyways unless your trying to render entire cities in full ray tracing or something. Also 2x GTX 275s is going to be faster 95% of the time then the GTX 295 for quite a bit less money...

As for that, I cant see that it doesnt use SLI to talk between the GPUs, you cant just run 2 GPUs in tandum with eachother without SLI/Crossfire based software sending information to and from each core seperately... all the GTX 295 coop is is a GTX 295 strapped to a single PCB, nothing more, they didnt even offer more performance, its just an easier to cool graphics card thats different from the rest of the ones offered atm. Also if you check out EVGAs explanation of the card, it says you can quad SLI it, you couldnt do that unless the card is already offering dual SLI.

Performance in either 3dsmax, or any other openGL based 3d modeling program is going to be faster on the GTX 275s, on anything its going to be faster especially if you overclock either card, when single GPU vs GPU comes into play the fully clocked GTX 275 is going to beat one of the underclocked GPUs of the GTX 295, when SLI is enabled and working the performance gap will get larger.

And whoever said we dont have any new numbers for the GTX 295 coop.... EVGA already said it performs exactly the same as the older GTX 295s, only difference is the single PCB.
