BFG GTX 285 piece of junk and warranty worse

Just installed a new BFG GTX 285 OCX, card crashed everytime when trying to play games. Large random squares popping up, screen breaking up into tiny coloured pixels etc.
Have a large enough power supply(700watt).
Read somewhere that others had a similar issue and underclocked the cards core and shader. Tried that and it does run stable. Called BFG to find out what is going on. They verified that the power supply was big enough but because I UNDERCLOCKED the card I voided the warranty. I cannot believe that UNDERCLOCKING would void the warranty.
I can understand Overclocking voiding the warranty, but Underclocking, come on.

Very unhappy with BFG.

I have to admit I'm not too impressed with their response to you. All you did was some simple diagnostics to verify what was causing the issues you were having. Hopefully somebody from BFG will see this and do something to make it right......

If it's within 30 days, take it back to point of purchase. My GTX260 SSC worked fine in games, had to be underclocked to fold properly. Fixed it by stepping up to a 285.

I've got the same issue with my gtx285. It is weird because I bought it off of SKY and it worked fine on his pc. However, my pc would always crash within 5 minutes of gaming, so i turned it down to 702 core and it worked. SKY said that this was a higher clocked card than all retail versions because the 718 core or w/e it was made too many cards crash.
