A little bit disapointing on the Gigabyte side when it comes to seeing an advantage to their claims on better temps, but I suppose having the same fan profile will do that.... :) Makes me wonder if there is any noticable difference with the fan speeds manually set to a fixed speed.

As far as the male-male PCIe power plug goes.... gotta be a monday morning or friday afternoon build and it was supposed to be a standard extention.

Great job SKYMTL!!! I know you put a hell of a lot of work getting this one together.

Holy shiz. That FTW edition is simply outstanding. I'm going to try and run those speeds on my EVGA Vanilla, but luck of the draw gave my SC clocks.

That must've taken forever to get all of those out the door. Does your lady miss you yet?

Are we going to see a sale soon with these?

Excellent roundup review.

I have mine above FTW clocks now. Same boat. Vanilla with SC clocks out of the box. Its running 720/1610/2550 now, and it absolutly tears everything I throw at it. I love the card, and you cant beat it for the 275 shipped to my door price!

I have to 2nd the question tho: Are any of these going up for sale Sky?

Not that I know of.

Staff and Mods aren't able to participate in contests but we have to remember that without them, this site wouldn't be where it is today. Some of them are in desperate need of an upgrade. As such, I'm actually giving away 5 of these cards to staff members to be put to use Folding for HWC and as upgrades for systems that need one. The Gigabyte card will be used for an upcoming Crossfire versus SLI article.

If any of the 5 cards go unclaimed, I'll put them up in the Charity thread.

Expect the HD 4890 Roundup to be put live in about a week's time (or a bit more) and some of htose cards to make it into the charity thread.
