Default HD 4770 Review Comment Thread

We have released our review of ATI's brand new HD 4770 512MB; a card that promises great performance for a very reasonable price. It is also the first 40nm GPU available.

You can find our review here: ATI Radeon HD 4770 512MB GDDR5 Review

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think the leap from DX 10.1 to 11 is going to be much of big deal. Since DX 10.1 cards already support much of what DX 11 is touting.

You mentioned that the fan wasn't overly loud, but didn't touch on the control issue that the 2 pin fan header might point to....

Did you have any luck trying to control the fan speed manually?

Excellent Review , One thing I'm always curious about in this day and Age is what the new designs folding Power is.
I think it would be an interesting Extra Benchmark to start doing , and perhaps raise some Folding awareness to those who lurk on the forums reading the Reviews and such.
Awareness is always good!

Nice Card, not the design I would want for the cooler, but otherwise it looks good.

1: Folding Crashed....I spent ALOT of time trying to get it to work. Hopefully the WHQL driver due mid-May will fix that.

2: The fan was completely controlable. I'll update the review.

The "No Way Out" campaign? I think you mean "No Mercy" campaign.
Just a tiny mistake.

7 minutes! Best I can do is 3.5mins in survival mode with my brother-I suck! Great review anyway, talk about re-arranging the lower price segment
