e-vga 7600GT overheating???

i've build a rig for a friend and it seems like the 7600GT isnt overheating or its having a bad ram chip.

after playing about 5-7 min of BF2 maxed out, the screen get all ugly, pink, purple and blue lines both horizontal and vertical appears on the screen, it do that about 30 sec then it get back to normal .... then the card seem to donwclock itseft because i get less fps, so i think its a heat issue,

do it a little while doing some intensive SolidWorks too

idle temp are about 47C, i havent recorded the load temp yet, .,. i will has soon has i can

my bed would be to check if there's enough thermal paste under the hood, test, test test, if it still do it, i would try to lower the clock and see if it still does it

AMD Athlon X2, 3800+ EE OC to 2.4Ghz cooled by Arctic Cooling Freezer 64
2x1GB OCZ Gold XTC DDR2 800Mhz, 5-5-5-12

2*seagate 80Gb in raid 0 (os and crap)
2*seagate 80Gb in raid 1 (back up for his buisness stuff)

Thermaltake Armor case

cooling is :
intake 2*120mm
exhaust 1*120mm + 1*92mm + psu fan

this machine have proof to be stable under primes95, memtest for 10 hrs

Any inputs/suggestion about this???

I would remove stock heatsink, clean off stock thermal compound and apply AS5. Then hook back stock heatsink and start off the rig. Maybe add a 120mm fan blowing onto the card during testing. I'd run not only 1 particular game btu many games. That way you'd be sure that it's not only doing this on 1 game. I remember i used to get that in CS:S with my Crossfire set-up. Only from time to time. Both of my cards were Watercooled. And it would do that only in CS:S ... One day i formated and the problem disappeared.

i will check that tonight,and see if it stilld oes it, i will also run 3d MArk to see if the graphics get corrupt or not
