GPU bending in case

Many of you, probably about 90% or more have huge video card. Stock cooler are most of the time made for prevent the card to fold itself witch solid casing. But, when having a lighter cooler like Arctic cooling accelero twin turbo or Dark knight cooler from ASUS you can see the card fold by time.

Does any one here, know any way to prevent this or to make a folded card straight back?

I actually wound up putting in supports when I had 6800GS's, but I haven't worried about it since that time.

Pretty interesting. What are you using for doing this? Plastic glasses can do the job?

Unless it's really bending badly, I wouldn't worry too much. I've hung plenty of cards with full-cover copper waterblocks attached to them, and never had an issue. If you want to stop it anyway, you'll have to either run a piece of string from the roof of the case, or put a piece of something plastic/wood underneath the cards to prop them up. I wouldn't do the second if the case gets moved a lot though, since the prop might start rubbing against one of the circuit traces on the board.

A quick solution for my card:

When I installed the HR-03 GTX and all of the various Enzotech sinks, and the dual Skythe 120mm fans, needless to say, there was some warping of the pcb.

I cut an old cathode ray tube (the blue tube under the far right side of the card in the photo) to size, and put some plastic washers on it for insulation and fine adjustments. Then I put a bolt with plastic washers on it through an open hole in the back front corner of the card, and rested it on the tube. The bottom of the tube is held to the base of the case with the velcro pad it came with.

This straightened the card nicely and adds enough support, but is still easily moved for card removal.

A bunch of these stacked on top of each other with one F/F at the bottom and an M3 screw at the top.
