My System Specs

Default GTS250 (9800GTX+) and AC Twin Turbo

Hey everyone.
I have someone who is gonna sell me a GTS250.... but I want to get rid of that noisy stock cooler. I see that there are some cards that have the AC twin turbo on them. This was made available for the 9800GTX, so i assume it'll fit the 250 right? If it'll work, I'll buy the card and use it in a folding rig.

Thanks in advance,

I believe, (correct me if I'm wrong) the GTS250 has a Smaller Referance board, so I'm not 100% if that cooler will fit on it.

thats what i thought as well, but the Galaxy GTS250 and the TwinTech GTS 250 both have a AC Twin Turbo cooler attached...

i was wondering if this is a custom PCB or would this then give way to prove that the twin turbo would work on the GTS250?

It probably works, just that the MOSFET sinks might not fit properly. So you might have to do some modding.

The card normally uses the nVidia reference layout for the 512mb versions. The 1gb are a new revision and probably not compatible with 98gtx+ HSF's.

Best to check with the manufacturer, as always, to see if it'll fit

It doesn't mention anything on the website, but you could shoot a quick a e-mail off to Arctic Cooling and find out.
