Default PhysX card question

Hi Guys, got a quick question. I have a ATI 4870 card which does all my graphics and I have an empty PCI-e x16 slot (x4 electrical, 1.0 slot) and a 8800GT doing nothing. Can I add the 8800GT card to the slot and use it for PhysX stuff or would there be a conflict?

I/m not sure but since your using Win XP I think you can run PhysX on the 8800GT. With Vista this is not possible but I believe in XP you can install both Catalyst and Forceware drivers. Then in the Nvidia control panel choose GPU for PhysX.

I am just stating what I read about...I'm sure some here have tried this an can tell you by experience.

Its not possible in Vista, but will be(and is in the beta) possible in Windows 7, I don't know about XP.

Neither XP or Vista like to play nicely with different brands.

They say Win7 will fix this.. but time will tell.
