Question Sapphire Radeon HD4850 with water cooling system from coolermaster?

Hey guys I need your help.

I have a Sapphire Radeon HD4850 1Gb with fansink and the Coolermaster Aquagate Viva duo.

I've tried the stock video card and it runs perfectly fine but when I install the watercooling system it crashes on boot and a red LED turns on in the video card.

Is not the power since I have a coolermaster extreme 550Watts, and its not the watercooling systems since I have it running anyway to cool an AMD Phenom X4

Any ideas on how to solve this problem???.

Well that really isn't a good power supply but whatever, it's not the problem at this point in time.

That watercooling system is garbage though and I highly doubt it can cool a HD4850 properly, especially if you have your CPU running on it. A dual 80mm radiator of unknown quality + some random low-flow pump is just asking for trouble. I kind of doubt it's even doing any good for your CPU. Probably be better off with a decent heatsink.

If you're serious about water cooling, head over to the Water Cooling section and make a post there. Best to build a custom setup seeing as you want to cool your Phenom X4 and a HD4850. No pre-built kit is going to be able to handle that heat load IMO.

Did it work with watercooling, but the stock fan plugged in? and it doesn't work without the fan plugged in?

Thank you jdrom17, I'll check that out...

It didn't work with the fan plugged in nor without it. And the card by itself won't work without the fan plugged in, I assume due to a heat protection system.
