My System Specs

Default Dual GTX285 SLI

I've only had this setup up and running for ~ 4 hours now but here are my first runs:

3DMark Vantage - 23748
ORB - Compare

3DMark06 - 23218
ORB - Compare

Not to bad for air.

Intersting, on my 3.8Ghz system and a single overclocked GTX 285 I hit close to 20,100. Is your i7 overclocked?

Same as yours, which you can see on the links.

Something ain't right about your 06 score... are you running the default test? I get 22978 and I have 9800GTX which are not quite near as fast as the 285's... for a difference of only 300ish points, yours should be much higher

who has the physx enabled and who doesn't?

For a TRUE score you should disable physx.

yeah, you have to state whether PhysX is enabled or disabled to even compare. the OP has PhysX disabled.

then that explains your almost equal score with less GPU power. run without PhysX in Vista and the gap will equal out

I disabled PPU in the options menu before the run and my OS is Vista 64 bit.

Just for grins I ran vantage, with ppu enabled, and got 27835; not legit but interesting none the less.

When I filtered the vantage benchmark scores to reflect i7, GTX285, Vista 64 and only official results, my score is 7th from the top but that's at 3.8GHz. If I play with my bios I can get it up to just over 4GHz, which should raise my ranking a couple of places.

BTW, to the best of my knowledge no one above my ranking is only on air cooling.
