Default Heat From 2 4870's (512mb) Quick Question

If I were to slap 2 Sapphire 4870's in an Antec 300 with 6 120mm fans would they overheat, or would I be fine?

Should be, yes. Make the door fan an intake, so the cards get lots of fresh air, and preferably on a mobo that has a slot between the two cards.

Will a P5Q pro board do? It's all I have, just two slots.

yep, it'll be fine. It's not the best Crossfire board, because of the limited PCI-E lanes, but provided you aren't running like 2560x1600, it shouldn't affect performance too much.

And it's got the reqired single slot spacing between cards when dualslot cards are installed...one slot less, and the top card would be sucking in hot air from off the backside of the lower card, which will, of course, affect temps.

make sure you have fans that pushes a lot of CFM. And you probably won't be able to use a few harddive bays which will give better breathing room for the 2 gpus. Which sapphire cards you have? the ones with the black cover?

No they wont overheat. I had 2 in a quite poorly ventilated case and the temps were pretty good. I did aim a spot fan at the top card though. They run pretty cool to be honest they dump the heat out the back quite well when the fans turned up a bit.
