Lightbulb EVGA GTX260 55nm for $248.88 after rebate @NCIX, good deal?

here is the link:

NCIX.com - Buy EVGA E-GEFORCE GTX 260 Core 216 55NM Mirror 576MHZ 896MB 1.998GHZ GDDR3 PCI-E Dual DVI-I Video Card - 896-P3-1255-A1 In Canada.

I just saw this card on sale and is wondering is this card worth getting or should I go for the XFX's black edition 260, which is factory over clocked, altho it's 65nm, and priced higher here for 299.99 after rebate:

XFX GeForce GTX 260 Black Edition Video Card - 896MB DDR3, PCI Express 2.0 x16, SLI Ready, (dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV, VGA Support, FREE Far Cry 2 Game GX260NADBF in Canada at TigerDirect.ca

(was also tempted with EVGA 9800 GTX+ 's deal here at NCIX as I would really wanna keep my spending to $200 range
NCIX.com - Buy EVGA E-GEFORCE 9800GTX+ SC 756MHZ 512MB 2.24GHZ 256BIT DDR3 Dual DVI-I HDCP HDTV Out Video Card - 512-P3-N884-AR In Canada.
~but I guess for $100 more, GTX260 would probably a better investment in the long run, or maye I should wait for 2-3 month for the GTX260 to drop the price)

~thx in advance

The biggest future-proofing will likely be the GTX260's larger video memory, as it's getting easier to go over 512MB these days. You could probably skip the Black edition, and you might even be able to overclock the 55nm part to the speeds of the Black edition as well (if you wanted to).

I consider it a good buy. I remember paying $350 for EVGA GTX 260 SC about two months ago.
If I knew this was going to happen, I would not have bought it until now.

I see, thanks for the advise, I will go ahead place the order on NCIX
(I am also going to order a kit of Nvidia 3D Vision glasses to try out the stereo3d gaming with the gtx260 :) )

~but I read the review here and it shows the 55nm version won't overclock as well as the 65nm version?! So that's just a little concern for me...

Isn't 55nm version more efficient and capable or further overclocking due to its smaller die size?
Why don't you go for EVGA GTX 285 and do "Step-up" in 90 days?
By the way, looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Nvidia 3D Vision Glasses.

I hope it's a good deal, I just ordered one too :D

I got tired of my POS Palit 4850 not running right in ETQW and other games I play without reason, It'll make a good HTPC card now.
