There'll be dead cards a plenty no thanks to this and that patch makes it even worse.

I won't use be using this until I RMA and get proper cooling on my GTX280.

Thanks Bure I was acutally going to post about this.

Ok, so the second link makes it so that the software can be used on non EVGA cards?

Eagle Eye February 8, 2009 07:14 AM

Correct SS, so far the only ones listed and it also increases the voltage limit to 2000mv.

I was gonna make this thread yesterday, but then I got lazy lol.

Man, no love for 9600GT.

Eagle Eye February 8, 2009 08:45 AM

I think the software be best limited to as few cards as possible.

Save some coin and get yourself a GTX260, prices just keep falling and it would be a pretty substantial upgrade from the 9600GT.

So I wonder how the RMA process would go with EVGA if you indicated that you used the voltage tuner and then your card died? My guess is that they may have somehow restricted the max volts but....

For those of you who like RivaTuner you can try a plugin.

as far as i know this are: GTX260 65nm, GTX280, GTX295, HD4870 and HD4870x2

Too bad it doesn't work with my cards.

Still a great little tool for those who can use it.
