Finally got around to having another look at the product and remembered why I dismissed it offhand when I first saw it.....

It's one thing to have a single 120mm rad to cool your vid card, but I wouldn't use a single rad to cool a cpu even without a vid card in the loop. If I were to get my hands on one of these, I think I'd be trying to find a way to jury rig the "CPU" block to fit onto my NB. I doubt this combination would be able to keep up with high end air.

(The metal carry case is pretty cool though..... :) ).

Why? my cpu does 4ghz on air...do you think this would be worse than air? And even so, there's nothing to prevent me from not using the cpu block...I could even install the rad on the bottom of my case, and have everything tidy and hidden...throw some goop on it and attach a heatsink(even even a tec!!!) to the cpu plate, and get extra cooling, even...

In a word.... Yes!!!!!

The Swiftech H20 120 is barely able to put out #s better than high end air. Throw in 2 vid card water blocks and I'd be surprised if this could keep up with an AC7 Pro. :)

edit: Of course there's nothing saying you have to use the CPU block. You could just secure it somewhere in your case.

What sswilson said.

That little rad isn't going to be enough for a 4870 X2 and an overclocked CPU.

Heh, now I'm tempted to buy it to see what I could squeeze out of it.

Really, I agree with you guys...but then this product makes no sense, YKWIM? Who's it for? Will it handle even, say, A PhenomII 940 @ stock? Previous "Atomic/Toxic" products did offer some value for the extra cost at least...has Sapphire lost thier minds? LoL...the RMA policy seems almost that way...

IMO, it's for folks who would never in a million years consider overclocking either their vid card, or their processor, but who want the highest possible clock on their 4870X2. In stock configuration I'm sure it would be able to keep the proc within specs under load.

When you get this in I'd be interested in the temps you get, single rad is.... an interesting choice for a dual GPU+CPU.
