My System Specs

Default Diamond Support?

I know there is another thread on this, but I don't want to bump up an old thread, which isn't even mine.

Anyways, has anyone successfully gotten an RMA through the ticket system? They still haven't responded to my tickets, and I've been monitoring their support site, but they never seem to go online. I send my original ticket about 3 months ago, but still nothing.

I've contacted NCIX about this, they have been quite helpful, but since it was after the 30 day, they couldn't really do anything.

Eh. Diamond sucks.

Diamond and support? isn;t that an OXYMORON? Yeah I feel for you buddy. I had a Diamond 3870 with the fan speed issue, not only have they never admitted it, I ended up havign to flash my BIOS with a Sapphire, as they admitted to the issue and resolved it. As did Visiontek on their early reference cards.

I now own a ASUS Dark Knight 4870.

Didn't you PM me a while back? And I told you how absolutely disgusted I was?

Just go buy a new card that's not Diamond and soak up the loss...

And I hope your on their site, with auto-refresh ever minute, and staring at it 24/7. You literally have about 2 minutes to catch them before it goes offline

Here's my thread BTW, I see you copied my title

Yeah you did, but I wanted to see if anybody else had any luck with them.

I bought the card when the price was $300ish. I'd rather take my time to fix the card and sell it for maybe $200 instead of having a dead card lying around.

Yep. They never went on.

Copying/plagurism ftw.

Default I can help you I've had 5 RMA's to Diamond

Well I think I can help you even though I gave up trying myself after I read a news report that said the company that built the most of the HD3870X2 really screwed up with a lot of bad soldering coming undone anyway there was a few things they mentioned and they said that the Graphics card companies are getting a lot of RMA's, they even mentioned Diamond as getting 15,000 RMA's in a short period of time. I read this on some news report on the net so I don't even really believe it except that I had 5 RMA's to Diamond myself and every time I just keep getting broken cards back, two of the RMA's I got back were broken fans, the munite I put them in I could tell there was a problem so this means they were just sending out cards not even looked at by their tech staff. Well for anyone interested in RMAing Diamond I don't use the ticket system I have an email address and a name for contacting tech support: tech03@diamondmm.com ATT: Angel(James Clark) at tech support. Just tell him your problems and he "should" help you.

Proof or stfuk. I have not heard ANYTHING of the sort, only problem with the 3870X2's I heard about was on a *small* number of them the heatsink was defectively put on.
