Looking for an upgrade
 
Hey everyone

yes i know long time that i have posted lol

Looking to upgrade my video card,

I currently have a
eVGA e-GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB, need something a little better. not getting enough fps on my favorite game soo time to upgrade

havent had time to keep up on whats good and whats not, oh and i will be building a new system in Sept so this will become the wifes computer, so nothing to extreme

rest of spec
Gigabyte ds3 3.3rev
E6300
2 GB GSkill
Cosair 560w

$150 - $300 mark should be good

Even a 4850 would be a fairly hefty upgrade from the 8800 GTS 320.

if you spend 50 dollars more though you can get the 512mb version of the 4870, also overclocked and it's xfx, which comes with a lifetime warranty that covers everything except accidental.

Wait for tomorrow's NCIX sale. Should see some NVIDIA price drops soon, since USA had the GTX280 for $200 for a brief amount of time.

@OP. What resolution are you running at? And I guess it's time for you to overclock.

I am running at 1600x1200, and i hate to say it, but its just to play World of Warcraft :whistle:

the problem is during the big raids i am getting some serious video lag, and it is pissing me off, i picked up a new E7200 so that is going in tonight
