Another great review Its too bad 55nm didn't help in any extra overclocking at all. (I did spot one typo BTW "55nm will draw less power on average across apps but in same cases, can draw more." I think it should say some cases.)

The GTX 285 is a different beast altogether.

Is it a nice beast?
Is it more of a beast than the GTX 280?

Thanks for including the Folding info SKY. Comparing the 9800GTX+ to the 9800GTX on temps and power suckage marked a meaningful difference for Folding. Not so much for the GTX260's though. Very interesting and, well, underwhelming.

As usual Sky ( IMHO) has the best reviews I am not saying the other reviewers are worse I mean I like Sky's reviews the best.
I think I will wait a while before I upgrade my 3870.
ok I am going to pull both my feet out of my mouth

As a few others mentioned the folding results are deeply appreciated and I am sure will encourage new traffic to HWC ;) I look forward to your work on the 265...

Guess the reports I saw were right about the new PCB design changing the heat numbers on the new cards. Will be interesting to see the reports from people with their own cooling solutions.

Again thanks for doing this Sky!

Thanks for the compliments. Please be aware that replies to this thread and other comment threads may be delayed over the next few days since I will be at CES. I will try to log on every now and then but I am sure we all know the trials of hotel room internet service.
