What's my 8800GT worth?

I'm going to put my Asus EN800GT TOP up for sale soon and would like to get an idea of what it's worth... if that isn't taboo before posting in the B&S.

I have a good idea of what the garden variety 8800's are going for but I'm not sure what extra brownie points I can get for my TOP.

It's volt modded and handles any stability test I can find running 833/2106/1010 with 1.37V. I hear people push these to 1.60V but that's beyond my comfort level. I couldn't get the ram to run any faster from the stock 1010MHz. It's on water right now with a DD maze5 but was planning to sell with the stock cooler which is the good one not the low profile types. I was also planning to remove the ramsinks I installed though I might sell it "as is" with block and ramsinks if someone wants it that way.

Any input would be appreciated.

At NCIX and a few other dealers, the vanilla 8800GT Asus has is around $250-300, brand new, and some other vanilla 8800GT's from manufactures can be from $150 to $200, so it's a bit hard to judge what it's worth. I couldn't find any prices for the TOP, but I would say it would be on average $20-$50 more than the stock 8800GT design because of better temps, etc.

Of course, the 8800GT is almost "Rare" now that it has been taken over by the 9600/9800, but it doesn't make up for the fact that it's an old, and in your case used, part. Unfortunately, although the 9800GT and 8800GT are roughly exactly the same, you can't take advantage of that fact beause people generally would say that they can pay the same price/a bit more for newer tech.

Honestly speaking, with an educated decision, I would go for $100, maybe $150, but then again it's only an estimate, and in my opinion it's pushing it a bit.

Shouldn't be priced anymore that $100. I can find 9800GT for $120. A used 4850 goes for $150 or so...

V modded TOP with stock cooler, I'd say about $150. Should pull in some pretty impressive scores at 1680x1050 or lower. That's the only thing with the 8800s, the memory chips on them are crap for OCing (shhhh ). I had one once that avalanched on FEAR and 3DM03 (Return to Proxyconn) instantly unless I underclocked it lol. This one has been very good to me but I don't really push it very hard.

$75 seeing used 8800gts I've seen going for $85 and a volt modded card is a detracting feature in my mind. Sorry biff I'm just an old cheap SOB.

I would not pay more than 90 $.

The customers you will get on HWC will mostly want this for Folding, I would think. I dont know the value in the folding world for volt modded GPU.

Just saw some BST on other threads. Most 8800gtx are selling in the $150 range.
The EVGA 9800GT unused are selling for $120 after 15 MIR. And today the canadian dollar when up a bit

Ah, the dollar down $0.15 is really killing me! $400 for a 4870 1GB at NCIX, but at least there's price matches, and some have rebates...

Aren't we as consumer being a bit...milked...by the dollar? Prices for a month or two were starting to get better with the dollar on par, plus or minus a cent or two. But now it's down $0.15, plus ATI had that huge price drop on the 4870's...and I'm still seeing high prices. Yeesh.
