sorry for double post...

i research a bit... FSX prefer cpu over gpu... so 7800 or above is alright... but 8800/9800 is good enough... or hd4750 ( i think i wont get ati for beginninger... i dont want to come to his place and fix the problem >.>)

i believe his computer has e6200 or around like that... so i think i should get NCIX.com - Buy Gigabyte GeForce 9400GT 512MB 128BIT DDR2 PCI-E Dual DVI-I HDCP HDTV Out Video Card - GV-N94T-512H In Canada. for him...

so what is your opinion?

FSX is mostly CPU bound, a 9400 will be okay, but I'd say go a little higher, get a nVidia GF 9600GT or 8800GT. While I think the extra $20-#40 or so is well worth it, either one of those 3 cards should work out well regardless.

Thats because the 8800GTX/Ultra is faster than even the non-plus(+) 9800GTX.

That said, at that price, I'd say its a match made in heaven!

He, well in that case, the 9800GT IS faster than the 8800GT.

But yes, while the 8800GTX/Ultra held a lead over the 9800GTX non-plus, the 9800GTX+ changed things and took the lead. Don't worry you wouldn't be the first confused by nVidia's 9xxx series.
