My System Specs

Default I know this Software Exists for some VC's..

Many people have told me to ramp up my fan speed when I GPU Fold (haven't started yet).
However, there is no feature in my ATI Catalyst to do so.
I run a: HIS 2600XT 512 Card Right now.

Is there software out there to manually set my Fan Speed?

Thanks in advance guys, you've been great so far!

Are you sure? Did you look at ATI Overdrive in the Catalyst Control Center?

Also, try this:

AMD/ATi HD4850/4870 Fan Fix! - XtremeSystems Forums

You can also try Rivatuner, but you need to flash your videocard for that.

I know the newest catalyst drivers had a fan control option in the overclocking section.

Also, many of us use Rivatuner for video card tuning:
RivaTuner v2.21 download from Guru3D.com

Here is a link to a screenshot that will get you to the fan and OC settings in Rivatuner:

Well, I looked everywhere again in Catalyst Control Centre ( I know its the most recent update because original drivers were faulty *VPU Recovery Errors).
No Fan Control that I can see.

I'm not familiar with RivaTuner, and have no idea what is involved in 'flashing' my GPU.
I just don't want to deep six my VC if I can help it, while still contributing to folding!

Thanks for the step in the right direction,

ST

Well....
I've tried everything including updating the CCC to the latest version on my Comp.
I guess I'll just have to wait till I get my 4850 and hope for the best there.

Thanks everyone,

Yeah, you'd have to use riva tuner for cards other than the 4XXX series. I was quite disapointed that my 3870 wasn't included.

Yeah, thing is I was told I might have to Flash my GPU. Never done that before, not sure if its worth risking the Deep Six Potential of my VC.
I'll have to trust the Software to do its job
On the Upside, at 700+ mHz OC, its now staying below 40 degrees while it Crunches for GPU F@H .
Might have something to do with the Xtreme Turbine thats 4 inches from it running at full tilt.

When I get my 4000 series Card, i'll have some real fun. Until then, I'll do the best I can.

Just download ATI Tool.

Should allow fan speed changes.
