Did I get a Core 216?

Interesting, it seems that I got a Core 216, instead of the original GTX 260.

I bought it at NCIX today, for $280 in-store.

Heres NVIDIA Control panel:



Is it just GPU-Z reading it incorrectly, or did I get a Core 216? Also, it just says GTX 260 on the heatsink, with no Core 216 anywhere. Does EVGA make mistakes like this?

Anyways, it still seems like a win-win for me. Core 216, AND I got it for only $280.

That very same thing has come up on the Evga Web Site...Congrats on your 216 Shaders...now download Precision and see what that baby can OC to!

Awesome! But I probably shouldn't OC, since its going into my brother's rig, and it only has an OCZ 600W. Also, he only has a 19".

Yes thats a good score...I know some folks have been paying for vanilla Cards and then finding out they're either Superclocked , SSC or even FTW versions! Nice to get something for "free" in this day n age!!
Shame your not gonna OC that Card, these GTX200 Series Cards OC like the banshee, with no ill affects.....

Hmm, after some thought, I might steal it from my brother's rig and get him a 9800GT or something.. Since he only games on 19"..
