And before anyone asks...yes, that is the final release of the ATI 8.12 drivers used. Hot off the presses...

Like this is what you guys were talking about, new article.

Well SKY you da best!!.. Great review on the latest card offerings from ATI and Nvidia. I never knew Nvidia stepped up on driver drastically, the GTX260 Core 216 SC doing brilliant.

Thanks SKY for a wonderful writeup.

Well, Its a great article, kinda sad that the team I root for (ATi) didn't take every thing by storm, but they did hold up quite admiringly, wining the few they did quite well.

Frankly, that being said I don't think you can go wrong at any price point except for maybe the 280GTX. It really doesn't matter what you get, ATi, nVidia, etc, because they all are with in spiting distance of each other in their respective price points.

Great review!

Very good Review indeed and thank you!! Just a couple of notes though:
1. As 24" monitors are becoming more n more popular - native res 1920 x 1200, would very much like to see this included.
2. As the ATI 4870x2 is essentially a dual GPU solution and this test was to cover "High End" GPU enthusiasts, would be nice to see the 280 SLI results as well.

I know..more "work", but jsu throwing in my 2 bits worth......very nice job though and mucho appreciated!!
