Thanks for the great reviews, X3:Terran Conflict looks like it might get me back into gaming. It will be interesting to see if this card techPowerUp! News :: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 Spotted will be the one that can finally beat Crysis...

1920 X 1200 was left out for timing's sake. It will probably make an appearance in the regular reviews if time permits. However, I think the two resolutions cover a best case and worst case scenario quite well.

I'll agree with that. The biggest point of interest for me for 19x10/19x12, is to see where the tipping point is as far as 512MB/1GB of VRAM is concerned. While the value of the 1GB 4870 is a little questionable in many cases, I'd say it would be a different matter when the cards are Xfire'd, since you've now got the horsepower to process those higher levels of resolution/AA.

Crossfire and SLI testing will begin again once the switch is made to an i7 test system so no worries about that.

Part II will have sub-$200 cards with a lower-end quad and testing at 1440 X 900 and 1680 x 1050.

Excellent review Sky, I knew I joined this forum for a reason. It's nice to see benches with a min/avg as opposed to a max fps; much more realistic in performance perception. Real reviews only happen in Canada

Looking forward to your Part II Sky, as I do use 1440x900 resolution and it certainly will gimme a review to look at.

SKY I hope someone on the internet is really reading your reviews, as you and your team, basically Team HWC deserves awards man, ground breaking reviews done in 2008.

:)
