My evga akimbo 8800gt 512 does it. It seems to be attched to the shaderclock, as the shaders are stock oc'd to 1780, and when folding it whines like a mofo. Using rivatuner to adjust the shaderclock, the pitch of the noise decreases as i turn down the shaders, and stops when it hits 1520. I havent noticed it when gaming, as my sound is usually pretty loud.

That's the sound of the card sucking up all the juice from your PSU.......Those cards require quite a lot of amperage under full load :D :D :D

All kidding aside, the first thing I thought when I heard this sound for the first time on my 8800GTS 320MB, was probably weak caps, since the sound come from the area with the large caps...

Mine squeals as well but only on folding and the pitch gets louder as the overclock gets higher. Playing games on the other hand i do not notice a pitch but then again i beel playing a lot of Red Alert lately and the frames are capped pretty low so i dont think it would give the opportunity to squeal. But i will admit it is annoooying, i am getting used to it though. Yea as Odis said i think it only has to do with shader clock cause you can change the tune of the whine as you increase or decrease shader clock.
