Nvidia Unveils Quadro FX 5800 with 4GB memory

VideoCard on steroids -

// EDIT: Due to some rude comments from a member later on this thread I would like to specify that I am fully aware that this is a QUADRO and what it is used for - I READ the article like anyone else and it does even say in the article what the card will be useful for - in no way am I making any reference to getting this card for gaming - I'm sure it could be hard and soft modded, but it's pointless to do so anyways - that was NOT the point of this thread.

I read uop on these Quadro GPU's a few years ago and back then, although very pricey, their not considered "gaming style 3D Graphic rendering GPU's".....odd eh, for that kind of coin. I believe used primarily in Commercial based 3D / Graphic Applications, including Architect / Medical Software etc...perhaps Ultra Sound Imaging, CTT Scan equipment.
Google it.....

Check it out....goes to remind folks that seem to think ATI is going to be the downfall of Nvidia, just how big the Company is and that Desktop GPU's only play one role in thier big picture..

NVIDIA Quadro Plex VCS ? Advanced visualization and remote graphics

I love when noobs post about stuff like this.

quadros have been around for AGES. They are not for gaming, not for everyday use.

If you have to ask if you want one or need one.. you have no idea what they are for.

These cards are for graphci work and cad as they are specifically made to work with opengl libraries.

nvidia has em.. and so does ati.
