7900GS crashing?

It can't be the PSU. Custom cooled with an accelero S1.

For some reason sometimes my GPU will power up, and 5 minutes later it will crash - monitor will sense no signal.
Is my PSU crapping out? 550W Optimax. I know the brand name is not popular......... it only has like 12 Amps on the +12V rail lol

XFX 7900GS has a 6 pin connector via 2x molex cables. Is my PSU insufficient? should i plug this into another psu see if it works?

I'd say its likely that your powersupply is giving out the 7900GS requires at least 20amps on the 12v rail and due to the psu's lack luster qaulity its probably at the end of its life.

I would test it against a more powerfull PSU and see if it solves your problems, if the psu is likely the culprit I suggest replacing it before it takes other components with it.
