You have a point, I just cannot wrap my lips around spending that much coin on a GPU...sorry, not for those kind of gains. ast time I checked DC that 4870x2 was over $600 + Tax...ouch! Too bad, as according to that review the GTX 260 (216) SLI is faster than than the 4870x2. Also, I have never been a "fan" of hastly built "doubled-up" GPU's (Nvidias past mistakes 7800GX2 and 9800GX2), seems they quickly put these together to simply get the "edge".....

personally, I think its a matter of taste, as long as you can your cross hairs over rjbarkers face, than its a good thing :) But, lets get responsible before the next great depression lands.

Crap, I didn't notice that the Rampage Extreme was not a SLI board. Maybe I should pay attention more to the reviews that I read instead of getting excited at how easy it is to overclock with this board. Seems you can only crossfire this board. Ok, so for ATI based cards, the Rampage Extreme seems to be the best choice. How about the best mobo to SLI a couple nVidias or more? I guess if I choose to take nVidia's road, I had best get the board best suited for nVidia.

Cross hairs aside :0...as for Nvidia based / nForce MOBO's, I have been very happy with my Evga 780i...so far! Although it is likely overkill if you're only planning to SLI, in that case the 750i Chipset maybe better. Here's the basic differences:
1. 750i = Single SLI ( 2 Cards) - DDR2 Memory
2. 780i = Tri Sli (up to 3 Cards) - DDR2 Memory
3. 790i = Tri Sli (up to 3 Cards) - DDR3 Memory

You can also check out Evga.com for more info...good luck...(also, be advised that Enaberif has stated some problems with older 680i Chipsets).
