Hey c'mon now.. I own one myself, and I get significantly better performance with a 4870 instead.

I didn't mean thrash thrash, I still love my card :p...

You know it all depends on the cost, You have a choice between the 4870 and GTX260 Core 216, to keep it under $350.. And the GTX280 for over that until $460.. Or spend less than $250 and get a 4850, 22" isn't too big.. but if you want future proofing if you decide to buy a bigger monitor then a 4870 or GTX 260 for sure.

Yep, I also owned an 8800GTX as well, and their was no comparison on either my 22" or my 24" monitors when I ran a GTX 260 (192) FTW or my current GTX 280 FTW + speeds. The 8800GTX WAS a great Card, as was my ex-wife many years ago, but really, its like a divorce, get over it and "move on"..hahahahahha
