My Sonata case has not seen his side cover in months... ;) This is why i'm getting a NineHundred, I'm picking it up monday night.

I'm surprised that after bumping my Q6600 to 3.4 and OC a little the 9800GX2 i'm not seeing better results then at 3.2/stock clocks... weird.

This is at 3.4/OC'ed 9800GX2.

I'm not surprised. I recently downclocked my q6600 from 3690 back to 3200. I did so because the fps difference was like 1-4 slower and I was able to drop the vcore from 1.525 to 1.25, easier on my passively cooled system.

World in Conflict actually got faster, dunno why but I retested it just to be sure it was not a fluke and yes, 5-6 fps quicker on the slower clock. Go figure.

Seems to be a fine line between running more ghz, hotter and less but cooler as far as end of line performance goes.

I did crank the fans to 100% while I benhed it with Rivatuner, that might help.

Normal temps are around 60 otherwise.

Ah, that makes sense, yours is a different style of sonata, mines a sonata plus 550.

The hard drive bays are set in the traditional way on this case, and the cage is just that little bit in the way. Nothing a die grinder cant fix though.

As you see here, the GX2 is about a centimeter too long.

About the Q6600, I also found that gaming was slower when i ran it past about 3.4 I never bothered to quantify it by checking framerates, and 3dmark always registered higher marks with it faster, but real world gaming "felt" slower, and the computer not quite as responsive.
