Default is there a 4850X2?

I've seen it mentioned on a few forums but I can't find much info or a release date for it? does it exist?

I've heard that it's in the works. Now if that's not enough, Google found me this:

Claimed Faster Than GTX 280, HD 4850 X2 Priced @ $ 399 Xtremegears

I read that AMD isn't providing a reference card for the 4850x2 and many gpu manufacturers don't have the resources to build one themselves from the ground up, so it exists on paper but we may only see a few of these in production. IIRC wherever I read that someone else claimed that the board should be the same as for the 4870x2 or something so they shouldn't have trouble getting them out the door. I imagine that if we do start seeing these it won't be for a few months. If you want a card soon I say forget about the 4850x2.
