Default Visiontek 4870 X2 not branded?

I just received my Visiontek 4870 X2 from NCIX and it's totally unbranded. The card came in a sealed box but the card itself has no Visiontek branding on it whatsoever.

I was a bit surprised by this since I've seen this Visiontek before:

While my card looks like this:

Anyway, I know it's just a sticker, but I don't want to have any problems in case of warranty issues.

Is this normal?

that card you have looks more like a ATI card brand not a VisionTek card IMO.
would look into it maybe and double check.

I'll register it soon.

I've now seen that several people got the unbranded Visiontek, not just me.

All's well!

Usually the first couple batches don't have a brand on them. Nothing to worry about.

FYI. (Although this is according to their American site... doesn't seem to be a Canadian one or a way for Canadian owners to register, but still...)
"Registration is not required for warranty service. Please keep your receipt for warranty purposes."

My Diamond 4870 came unbranded as well. 1 ATI sticker on the top of the shroud. I was quite happy there weren't any pictures of fairies on the card.

I just got a visiontek 4870 and not only is it unbranded, but it is identical to the Palit Version, except it does not have display port or the turbo switch.

This is the picture of their card on the site. Has a Visiontek sticker on it other than that looks like a reference design. Dual DVI and an Svideo, pretty much run of the mill except for the lifetime warranty.

This is the Palit 4870 Sonic OC which mine looks IDENTICAL too except for the Palit stickers on the fans. Non-reference dual fan setup with heatpipes on what looks like a beefier heatsink.

here is the back which is identical to mine except for the turbo switch and display port

I suppose the good news is that there are stickers on the bottom of it that have serial and Product # info that start in the letters VT, so I assume this is a Visiontek serialized card that is just from the same OEM as Palit uses.
