... now my video playback jumps! I was running a XtremeMusic, but my only 2 PCI slots were right beside my X2, so I figured I would pick up a PCI-E one. I completely uninstalled the Creative app's and the card bfore I put the new one in. As a quick test to determine that it is the new card causing the jumping, I've disabled the card, and everythings fine. I have updating drivers and moving the card to a x1 slot from the x4 slot I have it in now on my to-do list, but if I have to do that it's not much better than having the old XM in there as it would still restrict airflow. Any other thoughts? I already checked for Creative crapware.
new drivers - FAIL
different slot - FAIL
back to my old XM now

Did you try resetting the resources in bios? Could be there's a conflict going on, or that it's sharing (OMG... how long has it been since we routinely needed to worry about that!!! :) ) resources with something else.
Seems strange that a high-end card would cause those kinds of problems, but you never know......
