Using Speakers and Headset at same time

I am wondering if there is a way to use speakers for lets say music and use headset for gaming (Ventrillo stuff like that ) do i need 2 soundcards or is there a way to program the sound to go 2 different places

Hmm i do that alot and just required a usb headset and my soundcard, i just unplug the head set first turn on the music and then plug in the head set... and in vent in the setup options set the option to my head phones

A splitter cable works too.

If you get a Turtle Beach head set (5.1) it comes with all the splitters.
