need more info, CPU stock speed? speed of ram, speed ram is running at?
that kinda stuff.
you say random, you mean the PC is just sitting there idle like over night,
or are you playing games, copying files, playing movies, or all of the above that kind of random, etc?

Yeah, wouldn't surprise me if it's a RAM problem.

Will it freeze even if you're not doing anything? And when it freezes, is the screen still there? If you've some time, you might try disabling all power saving options (so the screen doesn't go dark), turn on Task Manager to monitor CPU/Memory usage, and let it sit. When it finally freezes, you'll be left with a Task Manager shot of the computer final moments, and be able to verify whether there's been anything abnormal going on. Just possibility. Assuming that you've got the latest BIOS in the board, my money's on the RAM.

BIOS - check Vram. Probably too low.

Random 5 –10 hours is tough, it suggests something marginal
Try memtest86 to test memory overnight to either confirm or eliminate that.

Yes.

You could also verify the power settings (Power Options in Vista) within Windows. If somewhere it says to shut down your HDDs after x amount of hours...
