lol - I've actually been struck by lightning while putting together a computer and everything worked fine.........
Anyhow, no I wouldn't worry about the tiny hole - there is a gap between the PCB and the hard drive's base so I wouldn't worry just keep your paws away from the PCB and you'll be fine - static discharge is a killer, and yes people have killed their components with static without even feeling it or knowing it.
So plug your hard drive and run the diagnotics that is provided on the website and if it's working you are fine - if you fried something, you'll also know very quickly :)
