Default Xonar dx sound card on Ubuntu hardy

I installed the New Ubuntu hardy the other day works great didn't have to mess with any ATI drivers they automatically installed which is great. So today My new Xonar DX PCIe 7.1 sound card arrives so I install it and then went to my Bios (Gigbyte p35 DS3L) and turned off the Azalia codec which it says turns off the onboard sound then rebooted but the card isn't working any sugestions?
