Default Slow Post and Slow Windows Loading

I'm using a Z68X-UD4-B3 board with F10 BIOS and I'm seeing the following problem:

1. Slow AHCI BIOS boot up, takes 2 minutes to detect drives.
2. Slow Windows loading, takes 2 to 5 minutes to load.
3. USB 3 ports are very slow to dead flash sticks.

I'm using a M500 SSD as Windows drive but using a regular HDD to store User data (download and stuff). Could it be one of the SATA drives acting up?

sounds may be bad memory, drive, optical and usb device

remove all devices to see if clears then add 1 by 1 to find bad item

Etron EJ168 USB 3.0 Driver 1.0.0.118 date 2013/11/26

also check usb header connections on MB are correct

Wouldn't it just be the Mobo itself the problem? I mean it's all related to the Mobo.... It can't be ALL of them the problem.

When did the problem start occurring? If this is very sudden, did you update the BIOS recently?

If you didnt upgrade the bios your board has 2 SATA6 chipset ports, and 2 Marvell. Try switching the boot drive to the other SATA6 ports.

The USB3 problem could be related, but probably isnt. That board uses a separate chip for the USB3, too. I would ignore it for now until you isolate the SATA issues, and then worry about USB3.

The problem started about 1 week ago. I had the board for about a few months after buying it off another member here. I'll start disconnect drives one at a time to see what's wrong. Today, I notice the LEC light on the mouse would go out during Windows loading. When the light comes back on, then I see the log in screen.

BIOS was just updated from F9 to F10 last night but no effect.

I think I found the reason. I unplugged the DVD Rom and it started back up in 10 seconds.
