graphics card is not going to help. You are limited by CPU, ram, and graphics card.

I fell sorry *i really do* for the people who bought the PC Vers i really do because you can have my specs to a triple or quad core and the games still won't run

Yeah, but a p4 (that OP has) is substantially slower than a c2d. If he had a board that supported c2d he could get away with it for sure. That said I was running a x3 710 (ballpark around c2d 7xxx) and it was bottlenecking my gtx 460.

I have to agree that at this point the best thing is just to let it go and look for something else, either a highly clocked Core 2 Duo setup or a Phenom II X2/X3/X4. Do not go towards a simple Athlon, everybody says that is good value for gaming but the performance sucks. It really needs to be paired with a strong graphics card to make it shine.

I finally got LA NOIRE running-ish and is playable but lags my guess is the video card because is a 8400gs however i seen people play this games with * Pentium D * but with better card and some max there memory

I do admit is take a few step back but as i said is playable-ish !

i do have a VERY GOOD athlon x2 that can play modern games but PC with a am2 would be out of my price range !

Not a stupid question at all... some manu parts aren't compatible, but you'll be fine with a video card, aside from some weird naming they're fine.
