My System Specs

Default what is normal temperature asus KGPE-D16 motherboard?

I am planing on selling my Asus KGPE-D16 motherboard because I cannot get it to run my ES 6234 CPUs so today I decided to try the newest Bios and see if I could get these chips to run underload ,
when I put these chips in I went into the Bios and was looking aty the idle temperatures of the 5690 chipset ( I think it is called chipset) and with these chips ( the ES 6234 opterons) the Idlke temperature is 76 c I fired up my system and then tried stessing the CPUs but same reasult I then switched the CPUs back to the 6128 opterons and checked the 5690 temperatures in the Bios and the idle temperatures of them is 62c now I am wondering if this is my problem that the chipset 56090 are over heating and causing the system to reboot.
So my question is what is the average normal temperatures of the 5690?

I don't know the operating temp of the chipset, but I do know that you definitely need active cooling on that sink. All server boards need active cooling.

How do I do that change out the heat sinks then mount some cpu fans on them?

You can, but having a fan simply close by to the chipset heatsink is enough.

that would be some mucho big coolers lol, just ziptie a case fan nearby them, if still hot, well a drop of thermal past and crazy glue and attach whatever heatsink you want to it, but yeh def active airflow over them.
