Default is there a fix for broken sata connector?

my first SSD I bought early last year worked great until Iwas folding and becasue my 2p system wasn't insde of a case the SSD wasn't mounted, well the SSD well still connected to the Sata cable slipped off of the table I had it on and broke the l shaped sata part off of the SSD the power connector part is still there but the Sata part isn't and the SSD still works I had the sata cable lined up and braced duct taped ( how Canadian can I be lol) that works but is very flimsy is there some type of connector that would work better or os there a way to replace it all together, I really don't want to waste this SSD

You might try a very very tiny amount of good strong glue. Other than that you could solder wires to the old connector and stick a new connector on the end of those wires. Filling the whole thing with hotglue or something to prevent bending induced shorts.

Well the good news is: the drive is still working!!
And the bad news is: no more lanpartys for this drive
Other than the "Red Green" solution you mentioned the only thing I can think off is locking sata cables, but still that's going to be pretty fragil if you"re moving the unit around at all.

This..

Pick up a new one or rob one from any dead sata3 drive (actually no idea if there is a difference) and either solder yourself or take to an electronics shop to do it for you..

I bought a ssd with a broken sata connector. Was able to slice off the plastic piece that supports the 7 data pins, and epoxied it to the broken drive. Still working. So thats an options.
