Default Major Computer problem

Hi everyone,

I am stuck at figuring this out and not sure what is causing this problem...This morning I woke up and when I turned on my monitor I was greeted with a garbled pixelated screen. I attached an image of what I saw. This is the first time it has happened. I checked out the event viewer and noticed that all windows services and 3rd party services shutdown at the same time, if that means anything. I am not good at techy stuff but it seems to me it might be a video card problem. Does anyone have any ideas?

I don't think I can keep my computer in safe mode all the time so that does seem feasible but could a corrupted driver caused the problem? I figured since it only happened once so far seems like a sign that something is failing. I looked in the event log and it didn't say anything about video card driver stopped working.

Possibly the GPU but there could be other sources.

List you spec plz.. Any way of testing parts (spare rig, family member / friend close by with a machine you can pull apart to test different components)?

You'll probably firstly want to run memory tests / benchmarks / stress tests and keep an eye on temperatures while running stress tests and benches.

First try a clean install of GPU Drivers and monitor, if it happens again after that report back with complete system specs.

I will reinstall video card drivers and stress test you and everything else I can stress lol I can't test with another system unfortunately. I hope it is not the video card! I will monitor the situation and post updates if anything changes.
