What do you mean the "mounting holes", I'm looking at those obvious "slanted pins" (about half of em) and the odd angled indentation on the side...looks extremely similar to what I was looking at last week....not saying I'm wrong, you're probably right, but explanation would be cool.

The holes that you screw your heatsink in to, on LGA2011 they are build right in to the socket mounting mechanism. In the picture he shows that is not the case.

i tried to correct a 1155 socket which seemed next to impossible for me and just rmad the board. could not imagine a 2011 socket lol. 775 was do-able with the common tools, best of luck with anything more dense.
