SSD Failure v 2.0
I found it entertaining there was another thread about ssd death.
My Asus g73jw laptop has been experiencing something I don't like.It's running a vertex 2 120 ssd.
3 times in the last 36 hours I've gone to it and found the "Please insert proper boot media" screen.......I can only assume the ssd is unhappy.
Everything is backed up , But I guess I'm shopping for a new ssd.
i wouldn't run an OCZ without a firmware update to be sure
Wow. Same drive. They must have kill switches or something. ;)
No...just SF1200 drives.
k....I'll replace it.
Best lappy ssd ? Intels ?
best ssd = intel. yes. :)
beer 2 morrow?
intel makes decent stuff. I haven't been following since I bought my 520 series. It's been a champ so far.
Beer = every day.
Intel, Crucial, SanDisk, Corsair. These are the mfg'ers I trust and routinely use. Mushkin are also decent and so too is OCZ. :)
YMMV but an Intel 520 or Crucial M500 is hard to beat!
lol... May is OCZ fail month? Lets see how many others die.
