It's really about playing around with it... that's the overclocking experience in a nutshell. It's different for every cpu and every stick of ram... the fellas going for the LN2 overclocks only use 1 gig sticks of ram but that 1 gig costs hundreds of dollars.

You get to 3.8 stabilize it with the ram etc then slowly bring it up until it BSOD's.. play with the ram timings and voltage until it stabilizes again and keep doing it. One thing to keep in mind is your OS gets trashed doing this sometimes... so it's a good idea to have a decent back up so you can get up and running quickly if things go deep south on ya.

If you are 75 on air I'd seriously consider getting a decent water cooling setup... come summer time (unless you have airco) you'll never keep that thing under 80 and AMD dun like stuff over 80c

A stable 3.8 that's running bf3 is really decent for that cpu man... seriously.

No worries man glad to help. When I get my loop rebuilt I'll take a stab at a good OC and see what I come up with temp wise etc.

Peace
