Sometimes not all the usb ports are enabled on post. Move your keyboard plug around and see if that will work.

Try one of your front case usb 2 ports for some reason I have little faith those usb 3 ports in the back will work on start up but I could be wrong, wouldnt be the first time

are all your ports usb3 (BLUE) or do you have some white ones in the front? or can you get your hands on a PS2 keyboard? everything should be fine I think its a PEBKAC issue but you need to give me a little more info.

Plus the speaker question do you mean you didnt plug one in or what?

I think your all fine but your going to want to confirm it all works and getting a keyboard that works is key. is your keyboard wired or wireless and please confirm if your plugging it into a white slot(USB 2.0) ?
