Default Need video card help (XfX 6990)

Hi everyone i believe my video card just died as i was playing dota 2.

What happaned was i was playing dota 2 and my screen went back and crashed. Reboot and i get a black screen. Reboot a few more times and im able to get an image on my screen. Boot into windows start "MSI kombuster" and computer crashes again. Now i cant get any video from my card, luckily i have sandy bridge with onboard video.

So far ive tried moving it down to another pcie slot and changed settings in bios. No luck.
Havent tried putting it into another computer, need to go to a friends house.

Is there any way i can test my 6990 or should i just try and RMA it?

Thanks

Specs:

i5 2500k
16gb Gskill
XFX 6990
Gigabyte z68xp-ud5
tx750

Alright so i determined my GPU wasnt faulty by testing it in a friends computer. My video card crashes randomly even at idle while on my desktop, sound remains but there is no video.

Any ideas? PSU possibly?

XFX has a ticket support system, which is also how you setup an RMA. I would recommend troubleshooting with them first and in the process, they'll setup an RMA if necessary.

Did you install drivers and actually use the video card on your friend's PC? Or just plugged it in and go?
If you have another video card, try that first to determine what's wrong with your PC.
You can try using another pci-e power cable on the PSU, just incase 1 of them is damaged.

Tried all 4 of my PCI-e power connectors.

Card was working for a year then i changed up my HDD to an SSD and now im getting all sorts of problems. Planning on borrowing a card from him tomorrow.

Any possibility you hit/damaged something while installing/removing the drives?

I forgot about the onboard video. Everything works with onboard, right?
Have you tried stressing out your computer? Use something like Prime95 torture test, on blend.
Try updating the BIOS if you haven't already.

If everything passes without your video card, it's most likely your video card working intermittently.
