The BIOS screen is always going to be up for the same amount of time regardless of the computer and speed of processor. (or SSD which doesn't even matter) so you've got about 3 seconds.

When you turn on the computer and you hear the beep then tap DEL about twice a second. When the monitor finally comes out of power saving mode it'll be sitting at the BIOS.
