Default 2 4870x2 2gb cards dead how do I bake them?

I had two 4870x2 2gb cards die on me within a few days last year I pulled the fans off of both and was looking for any sign of damage but I can't seem to see any, these cards ran hot some I am just wondering how one goes about backing the cards to see if I can get them working again and if I can't I guess I will end up tossing both of them .

Don't think so, my GTX 275 was doing around 8.2 K PPD, the 285 will do around 9K PPD while consuming a lot of electricity. The GTX 295 is known to to 17k PPD so i don't think will fare better then your dual cpu setup.

I baked my 4870x2. 375 for 8 or 9 minutes (It's been a while, might be wrong on the time). Just remember to completely strip the cards of everything you can, should just be PCB.

It's a temporary fix because the temperatures aren't high enough to liquify the solder, only soften it -- thus any cracks which have developed due to heat cycling are still there. I baked my 8800 GTS several times before replacing it, and the only real issue I had was finding replacements for the thick thermal pads Nvidia used.
