i was running 3d mark 11 performance preset and then suddenly it freezed and i waited a minute turned the monitor off and then on, and then windows came with the message "nvidia kernel 301.42 stopped working".

does that mean that it is the driver that it causing the freeze?

so when nvidia come with new major driver my problem will be fixed?

Actually furmark is completly useless for you as all 5 and 6 series GTX cards now throttle for it...

best alternative I've found so far is running loops of Heaven benchmark and looking for color flashes (and other artifacts).

Sounds like your factory overclocked speeds aren't stable...

1. Download MSI afterburner
2. Try either:
- Lowering the clock speeds to the clocks of an OEM GTX680.
- If you don't want to lower the clock speeds, you can also try to bump up your voltage by 2 increments and try again but watch for your temps.

All of this can be done inside MSI afterburner, be reasonable with the amounts you are adjusting as this can damage your video card.

3. Then try Unigine heaven benchmark again

If that fails, do a proper & clean driver installation and try again.

If none of these work, bring your card in for a warranty. I would do it anyways since your car was meant to be ran at those OC'd speeds from factory.

i have not tried to run heaven benchmark yet, but why don't you think it is driver errors?
