OMG,
A couple of things worth trying if you havent done them already.
- Run Clean up,Scan disk and defrag your operating system hard drive, this is where your data buffer swapspace is. If its a mess the process will be less then stellar.
- Ensure you have 1.5 times the disk size you are going to burn in free space on your operating system hard drive.
- Verify that you are in DMA mode with your Burner. You can find those settings in your device manager under IDE ATA/Atapi Controllers/Advanced Settings
If you run a scratched disc EVER into your player and it trys 3-4 times to read it and it cant, XP will automatically revert your mode to PIO only
read as PIO only = SLOW as GOATS , this will not automatically revert back to DMA.
Its something worth checking. The fix is to delete the controller in question ,reboot and have windows find your new hardware and re-install it.
